In 2009, Robert Archibald was the Master of the Lodge in Marlborough, Massachusetts. To celebrate the 150th anniversary, he proposed the idea of a car show on Main Street. He wanted to combine his love for antique cars and charities. So what better way to do that than to shut down Marlborough Main Street on the first Sunday in June.
How it is going...
The show was an absolute hit in 2009 and fast forward 15 years, the show has become the largest annual event in the city of Marlborough the show has quietly raised over $400,000 for the City of Marlborough and statewide charities.
The United Brethren Lodge of Freemasons in Marlborough produces the show with generous support from area business sponsors and encouragement from the Chamber of Commerce, Mayor's Office, and Police Department.
Car owners are asked for a $20 donation to the show's charities, which include:
